We have a great view from our hotel room along Tudor wharf. Everything is so walkable although I have only ventured out for groceries in Charlestown so far.
We woke up late today having arrived at 11 pm to our hotel. We raced down to catch the tail end of breakfast. When the elevator doors opened it was shocking to see so many people out and about. Last night it was a ghost town in the hotel lobby when we checked in.
The hotel staff is extraordinarily accommodating. We needed another blanket and they searched housekeeping for us until they came up with one at midnight. Breakfast was great ...so much food. Lots of stuff we can bring up to the room to eat later too. Guests come down, load up plates and go back to their rooms. I guess that's the way it is done here.
Steve is out exploring the area and walked to the museum of science to see how long the walk is for tomorrow morning. We have a Duck Tour scheduled which departs from the MOS.
Tonight we have reservations at al Dente restaurant in the North End. Lots of great Italian restaurants to choose from. This one was recommended by our new pastor who just moved to san diego from Boston. She just graduated from Harvard divinity school.
Girls are just chilling out for this afternoon. Maddie needed a break today after her road trip down from san Francisco on Friday and then flying out to Boston early Saturday morning.
